Chrysalis                                                                            6.25"x14"x9"


 



 


She saves her teardrops in a bowl until they reach the mark.
By then the salt forms crystals that glisten in the dark.
She sees the implication with awe and with relief.
Impressed with nature’s subtle ways to transform human grief.
Her heart and soul renewed, she draws herself a bath.
The crystals in the water now begin to make her laugh.
